On 5TH Feb 2021 a kindhearted brother from Ututu, in Arochukwu LGA of Abia State saw the pitiable condition of this old woman whose mud house was in a very terrible condition. When Mrs Nwannediya was interviewed she disclosed that she cooks and sleep inside the house for a long time with no help or any form of intervention. When it rains she’ll cover herself yet get soaked, during sunshine she’ll look for shelter, as seen on the picture.
The young man shared the picture evidence of Mama misery in Ututu community facebook group where he sorted out for intervention. While everyone was touched by mama Nwannediya’s misery, Chief Dr. Daniel Okeke swong into action immediately and requested to get necessary information about mama and sent some persons to rescue the old woman with some money and mama’s necessary needs were provided while Mezie Abia and his team of Ututu Progressive commenced building of house for mama.
Yesterday, a brand new house was handed over to Mrs Nwannediya Ikechi courtesy of Chief Daniel Okeke and she was placed on monthly stipend for her up keep.

Today, in Arochukwu local government of Abia State, marked the commissioning of the house built by Chief Dr. Daniel Okeke in rescue of Mrs Nwanediya Ikechi, whom once lived in a wrecked dilapidated house in Obiakang village of Ututu.
The ceremony witnessed the presence the Chief Whip of the 9th Senate Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, ably represented by Rev. Mrs Jemima Ola Kalu, the DG Orji Uzor Kalu movement is an occasion of hope alive for the people of Abia North senatorial district and other prominent and progressive personality like Chief Stephen Kalu Nwankwo, Hon. Anthony Nwankwo Kalu and many others.
Chief Daniel Okeke, worried with the condition and welfare of Mrs Nwanediya Ikechi took it upon himself and made it an APC affairs to build for her a befitting house and also placed her on monthly stipends.
The beneficiary Mrs Nwanediya Ikechi express tears of joy and gratitude to God almighty and chief Daniel Okeke for the life changing impact. She prayed that God Will continue to bless Chief Dr Daniel Okeke and associates.
